At Big Agnes Sales Store, we stand behind our outdoor gear and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If your adventure equipment isn’t quite right, we’ll make it right.

Our Return Policy

We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of receiving your order. All returned items must be:

  • In original condition (unused, unwashed, with tags attached)
  • In original packaging with all accessories
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Non-Returnable Items: For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on air beds that have been inflated or used, bivy sacks that show signs of use, or any down products (blankets, sleeping bags) that have been unpacked from their original compression sacks.

How to Return or Exchange

Follow these simple steps to return your outdoor gear:

  1. Contact Us: Email our gear experts at [email protected] with your order number and details about your return or exchange request (use the template below).
  2. Wait for Approval: We’ll respond within 2 business days with return instructions and an RMA number.
  3. Package Your Item: Securely pack your return using the original packaging if possible.
  4. Ship Your Return: Send your package to our headquarters at:

    Note: Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.

Use this template when emailing your return request:

Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your returned item:

  • Processing Time: 3-5 business days after we receive your return
  • Refund Method: Original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Refund Timing:
    • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days after processing
    • PayPal: 3-5 business days after processing

Note: Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your outdoor gear arrives damaged or defective:

  1. Contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage
  2. We’ll arrange for a replacement or refund at no additional cost to you
  3. In some cases, we may ask you to return the damaged item using a prepaid shipping label

International Returns

For customers outside the United States:

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility
  • Please mark the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs fees
  • We cannot refund original shipping costs or any customs/duties paid
